Elena Meyer, a collaborator in “Mining Press” with her recent MBA Program, a member of PDAC, CIM, and the Canada- Southern Africa Chamber of Business indulges herself in the less-travelled world of mining

Way back to her past, mining was never in the picture of her ideal life. Just like many girls growing up in the Soviet Union, she dreamt of becoming a professional ballerina. Then later in life, a high-profile lawyer inspired her at the age of 13. This aspiration of her was fully realized 17 years later when she graduated with dual American-Canadian law degree from the University of Windsor.
Yet as she grew up, a few inspirational mentors, the nuances of the industry, and her natural tendencies to challenge stereotypes cultivated a strong passion for mineral exploration and mining-so strong that she decided to pursue a career in the industry, against all odds.
